Poker Stars breaks its own Guinness World Record
October 5th, 2009
After breaking its previous Guinness World Record for having the highest number of players at an internet poker room in an online tournament, it seems that PokerStars has done it again last month, on Sunday September 6th when an astounding total of 307,016 players at 42,814 tables participated at the same time in an online poker tournament.
The record was beaten by over 100,000 players, but it wasn’t an easy task as even rival Full Tilt Poker was also attempting to break the record on the same day. But it was finally PokerStart the one to take the headlines and enter the record books again.
This is actually the second world record-breaking for the company in the last two months, as in July it had also broken its own record for the largest ever online poker tournament, with 65,000 players from 155 countries.
